EMDR Tactile Units     List of Categories
Tactile Units for use with EMDR Pro are available as an option when purchasing the Therapists Toolkit. They are USB powered and software controlled. A stand-alone utility designed for testing the units is provided so the units can be used on a PC that has not had EMDR Pro installed on it.

• After I plug my Tactile Units in there is a delay before EMDR Pro or the testing utility can acces them of about 10 seconds. Is this normal?
  
  
• If I unplug my units and plug them into a different USB port whilst keeping the EMDR Pro open the Tactile Units no longer buzz. Is this normal?
  
  
• Can the tappers be used without a computer being present?
  
  
• Do the Tactile Units work with Macs?

  Yes. That is normal behaviour. Windows needs time to locate the correct hardware drivers. Typically this is a few seconds. It helps if you use a specific USB consistently.

  Yes. That is normal behaviour. Close EMDR Pro and reopen to use the Tactile Units via a different USB port. The same applies to the stand-alone testing software.
  
  
• Can the tappers be used without a computer being present?
  
  No. They are USB powered and software controlled.
  
  
• Do the Tactile Units work with Macs?
  
  Not yet. They function only with EMDR Pro and EMDR Pro does not currently function on Macs.
