  • MULTIMEDIA/CD: How can I play flv / ogg files in EMDR Pro?

Install K-Lite which in turn installs FFDShow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-Lite_Codec_Pack http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm This route is not advisable for Netbooks. Ogg files can be played using the BACKGROUND AUDIO section.

  • How to I play / generate binural sounds? (AKA low frequency audio).

Click here for instructions. The OGG files in the "Binaural" folder are not binural sounds they are just OGG versions of a variety of background loop sounds for use by users that wish to use the binural sound generator. By default they cannot be played by the MULTIMEDIA/CD section (additional CODECs would be required - see K-Lite above) and are not visible by default

  • Can I run a settings file without having to use file open to load the setting file?

Yes. The settings files are stored in C:\CS\vEMDR\User and if you click on them EMDR Pro will open and load the settings file silently.

  • I have a Netbook with a small C: drive, can I install the shared media library on a different drive?

Undocumented feature: You can also manually install on the D: drive ie D:\CS\Shared, C:\CS\Shared must remain present. The new shared library location is automatically recognised by most if not all products. Only the D: drive is supported.

  • How do I make the tracking image vanish?

No background image: Select the blck preset tracking image, reduce the size to the smallest possible, select a black background color. Background images present: Save clear.gif to C:\CS\Shared\System then in EMDR Pro select that image as the tracking image and reduce the size to as small as possible.

  • How do I make a background image stay for longer than one rep?

Add multiple background images, click on the edit icon, select image, click on copy, click on the "up" button so the copy is right after the original, click on save. The image will now be displayed for 2 reps.
