Missing user code error: XP

On opening eg EMDR Pro the following set of messages is displayed (may vary between products):

• OP01 Options File could not be opened or read.
• UL08 Unable to identify registration status.
• UL15 Unable to determine registration status

The program opens and seems to be stable.

When "Help" / "Unlock" is clicked on (or the unlock window is displayed) the following Windows error is displayed:

Resolution

This is caused by a custom decimal separator specified in system settings that does not match the language.

Open the "Regional Settings" in the "Control Panel" (German and UK screenshots below)

Click on "Customise" and in the next window change the "Decimal symbol" from a comma "," to a fulll-stop "." or the reverse.

Click on "Apply" "OK" "OK" to close

Close and reopen the product to see if the user reference code is now present.
